As previously communicated, due to the continued closure of airspace to the MAX aircraft, WestJet was forced to adjust our winter schedule to remove the MAX from service from November 4, 2019 to through January 5, 2020.
There were some miscommunications regarding how we are treating these schedule changes which has caused some confusion. We apologize for the misunderstanding. Below are the options available for WestJet Vacations bookings that have been affected by the recent schedule change:
- If your clients booking was affected by the schedule change and they would like to make a change to the booking, the change fee will be waived, however they will be responsible for any difference in fare and additional hotel charges.
- Should your client wish to cancel their WestJet Vacations booking due to the schedule change, they will receive a full refund back to the original form of payment.
- If your clients have paid a deposit on a WestJet Vacations booking that has been affected by the schedule change and they no longer wish to travel, they will receive a full refund of the deposit back to the original form of payment
If your clients WestJet Vacations package has been affected by the recent schedule change, please contact our Travel Support Team at 1-877-664-3205 for assistance on adjusting their bookings.
Please note: We will be working on correcting every file to refund any deposit that was not returned or cancellation fees that were charged prior to this update. However, if you are not contacted by the Travel Support Team to confirm the refund within the next 3 business days, please contact the number above to have your refund processed.
