WestJet continues to work with Transport Canada and other regulators while awaiting the impending software enhancements and training requirements for the Boeing MAX aircraft.
With timing for return to service is still uncertain, WestJet has updated our flight schedule to remove the MAX from January 5 through February 4, 2020. Proactively removing the aircraft allows reliability and reassurance for our guests as they look to book during the busy winter travel season.
We understand the uncertainty our guests, WestJetters and partners have faced, and we thank them again for their continued patience. We look forward to returning the aircraft, safer than ever, to the skies.
