Hawaii pre-flight COVID testing expanded to include British Columbia and Ontario
We are pleased to share that WestJet guests flying to Hawaii can now get tested for COVID-19 in British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario prior to departure, potentially eliminating quarantine upon arrival.
Today, we announced we have collaborated with testing partner LifeLabs in British Columbia and Ontario to offer State of Hawaii-approved pre-departure testing. As previously announced, we are also working with laboratory partner DynaLIFE to offer pre-departure testing in Alberta for travel to Hawaii. A negative COVID test within 72-hours of departure will exempt the guest from the state’s required 14-day quarantine.
How to book a pre-departure test:
- From Ontario: Pre-departure tests can be booked through LifeLabs for $199 plus tax, payable by the guest, by visiting LifeLabs.com/FlyClear.
- From British Columbia: Pre-departure tests can be booked by locating a LifeLab partner clinic listed on the westjet.com/covidtesting page. The cost is $250 plus tax, payable by the guest. WestJet and LifeLabs expect to have more information on additional BC testing locations shortly.
- From Alberta: Pre-departure tests can be booked through DynaLIFE for $150 per person, payable by the guest, at participating pharmacies in Alberta. Guests can book through the DynaLIFE website https://qme.dynalife.ca/travel/.
Guests travelling to Hawaii are responsible for ensuring they receive a test within 72-hours of their flight departure and will be required to display their negative test result prior to boarding in order to avoid quarantine. If test results are not available before boarding the final leg of the trip, the traveller must quarantine for 14 days or the length of the stay, whichever is shorter.
All visitors intending to visit Hawaii must register prior to travel.
