Due to the continued closure of airspace to the MAX aircraft, this past weekend WestJet was forced to proactively adjust our winter schedule to remove the MAX from service from November 4, 2019 to through January 5, 2020.
As we have previously done, we are proactively removing the aircraft to offer our mutual clients booking reliability and the ability to plan in advance. While we do not have timing for the return of the MAX to our fleet, this latest schedule update reduces last minute flight cancellations and disruptions to our mutual clients travel plans – especially during the busy holiday travel season.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. If your clients flight has been affected by the recent schedule change, please refer to the reference guide here on how to assist with their travel arrangements.
