Update on temporary baggage restriction for MBJ, KIN and VRA

As was previously communicated in December 2023, temporary baggage restrictions were implemented for Montego Bay (MBJ), Kingston (KIN) and Varadero (VRA). We’re pleased to share the restrictions for flights to and from MBJ and VRA have been lifted as of January 15, 2024. Regular baggage guidelines now apply.

The baggage restriction for KIN is still in effect and will remain in place until further notice. If your clients are travelling to or from KIN, please let them know the following:

  • Only two pieces of checked baggage per guest are allowed.
  • Overweight and oversized baggage will be accepted for the applicable fee.
  • Golf bags will be considered as one checked bag. The oversize fee will continue to be waived.
  • This applies to Platinum WestJet Rewards members.
